Once upon a time, in Iola, there was a ten-year-old boy named David.  Their family Farm included a dog, three cats, chickens, and a turtle. David dreamed of becoming the world's best swimmer.

One day, David woke up, had breakfast (his dad made the best bacon and eggs!), and went to school. His favorite class, of course, was swim class at the end of the day. After school, he played Minecraft on his Nintendo Switch, a popular pastime.

Driven by his dream, David decided to enter the town swimming championship. He woke up early, ate breakfast, put on his swimsuit under his regular clothes, and headed to the Iola swimming pool.

The competition was fierce. David needed to win five town races to qualify for the state races, which required only three wins. If he conquered those, he'd advance to the two national races. National victories would unlock the ultimate challenge: the World Championship race!

Arriving at the first town race, David changed into his swimsuit and donned his black and blue goggles. He warmed up with jumping jacks, push-ups, and windmills.

The announcer declared the start of the race. David's team, the Black Sharks, faced off against the Clownfishes. As the whistle blew, David surged forward, quickly finding himself in second place. He then took the lead, but his cheering teammates momentarily distracted him. Suddenly, he felt himself sinking, his vision fading to black.

Then, light pierced the darkness. He found himself face-to-face with Jesus. Jesus spoke, "David, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

David's vision swirled again, returning to normal. Miraculously, he was still in the race – and he won! He went home to play with his siblings, his heart full of the day's incredible events.

One week later, David had conquered all but one race: the World Championship. Five years passed, and David, determined, donned his swimsuit once more. The whistle blew, and he was off, swimming faster than ever. But then, the darkness returned.

He awoke to a blinding light and saw Jesus again. "David," Jesus said, "You can win."

David found himself back in the race, and with renewed strength, he triumphed! The crowd erupted in cheers, chanting his name. However, David remained humble. "My God helped me," he declared. "My God, Jesus, you are the way, the truth, and the life.
